Elizabeth Hand is a mediator at Hand & Hand Mediation.  She received both her undergraduate degree and Master’s degree from Troy University.  Prior to forming Hand & Hand Mediation, Elizabeth spent the majority of her career working for the Department of Human Resources and the District Attorneys’ office as well as teaching.   During her tenure, she learned to appreciate Dispute Resolution and its use in family and domestic relations.

Due to the fact that Elizabeth is not an attorney, but has a background in counseling, social service, and education, she uses a non-adversarial, problem solving approach to conflict resolution.

Elizabeth’s goal at Hand & Hand mediation is to ensure that all clients, regardless of their socioeconomic status, are able to afford mediation. She uses a sliding scale rate for those whose income is no more than two hundred percent (200%) that of the Federal Poverty Level and facilitates discounted mediation with verification of income from clients.
